Rods


Below you will find essential tips and tackle for catfishing.

    For catfishing, a 7 foot (or slightly longer) composite (graphite/fiberglass) rod is recommended, preferably with a high Graphite content.
    It should be medium to heavy action because such a rod makes a good, all-around catfish tackle base.
    If you are rigging for a titan and mainly fishing for a a trophy-size catfish, use a longer rod (up to 10 feet) and try to choose something with a long butt as well as a long butt pad to set against your stomach.
